Carolyn from Barefoot Butterfly Studio has quite the creative mind! Inspired by glass totems that she has seen online, she decided to make a glass birdbath for her yard using 20 pieces of thrift store glassware. The result is spectacular! Can you imagine it shimmering in the sunlight?

I might have to try this. I’d love to make something out of colored glass, though:) It would be fun to use flowered plates and cups also to make similar items.

oh how beautiful….I love the crystal clearness of your design…just wonderful…I suggested this idea to my daughter and sent her the link. She lives in southwest in Arizona and since she loves the potteries and such it would also be nice to use a pottery theme…for myself I have way too much Blue Willow dishes and am thinking Blue Willow for my Tn country home. thanks for sharing this…

I saw a similar idea recently at a public garden, only the glassware was used as a garden light along the path. I *love* this birdbath idea! So much prettier than the stone or plastic birdbaths you see in garden stores.
